This site supplies independent information about UK accounting software and is published by the foundation www.in-research.info. For every accounting program you will find a standardised description including functionality, price, costs. The information published about every accounting package is based upon the information as can be found on the site of the producer/distributor of the accounting package.

Accounting software; what is it?

Accounting software

Accounting software is software to keep your books via the so-called double-entry system. In a basic version, accounting software only consists of the general ledger. In practice accounting software – even simple software - also nearly always contains accounts receivable and accounts payable. More elaborate accounting software contains also modules for fixed assets, purchase, stock, sales, payroll, time billing and project analysis. More sophisticated systems also may contain functions for planning, manufacturing and HR. Because all these functions are integrated the term ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is often used.

None - we do not advise. We present, in a systematic way, information about accounting software so that you can make a choice yourself.

There is no information on your site about XYZ accounting software; why?

We only add a program if sufficient information about functionality, prices and costs can be found on the site of the producer/distributor. Furthermore we do not add accounting software which is directed at specific industries; we only add general accounting software.

What do you charge for adding our program?

There is no charge. We prefer to be completely independent of the producers of accounting software.

What must we do to have our accounting software included?

Just send us an e-mail and we will include your program as long as sufficient information about functionality, prices and costs can be found on your site and as long as your program is general accounting software. Click here for more information.
